  9. Smarty is a file-manager program, but it's oriented to manipulate
  10. long lists of files, mainly animations splitted in their
  11. frames.
  12.  
  13. Note: It is NOT a file-manager like Dopus ! It lacks some important
  14.       features that you might find in a "classical" file-manager.

  16. Some features of Smarty:

  18. -Smarty includes several file-selection functions:
  19.         Wildcard selection.
  20.         Range selection.
  21.         Numerical range selection.
  22.         Stretch selection (select exactly the number of files you want).
  23.         "Jump" selection.
  24.         ...
  25. -You can "hide" files, so they will be not considered by Smarty's
  26.         selection functions.
  27. -You can rename a sequence of files in different ways:
  28.         Sequencially (foo.001.jpg, foo.002.jpg....)
  29.         Adding extensions (Amiga, Mac... -> Amiga.iff, Mac.iff...)
  30.         "Traditional" renaming is also possible
  31. -You can duplicate files.
  32.         Smarty allows you to create any number of duplicates of any
  33.         number of files.
  34. -Smarty v2 includes the possibility of deleting/copying/renaming
  35.         drawers.
  36. -You can use the DOS window to process files with any AmigaDOS
  37.         command (for example, convert a large number of images using
  38.         the IFFTODCTV command).
  39. -Smarty uses/requires MUI (to me, a feature).
  40. -It is completely localized (english is built-in, and spanish catalog
  41.         is supplied).
